While looking at some photo's of Bizzie I noticed some of the vertical bulkheads have what appears to be a painted black line around the lower edge, does this apply to all the bulkheads. Grateful for any info.

Are these the burn marks from the laser cutting of the pieces?
Just a quick going over with some sand paper will get rid of the residue so that when you get to stick onthe planking it will stick to the bulkheads and not the residue!

Hi Dave, I am actually painting a thin black line on the deck where the walls of the superstructure fit. This is so that when the superstructure is fitted and the deck "planked", if there is any gap between the decking and the superstructure, a nice clean black line will show.

Most ships have a black line at the bottom of the walls. So I painted mine on the bismarck from the start. A bit fiddly and hard to keep straight (should not think it woud be any easier sprayed on?).

Does the line appear on all bulkheads on all decks? With regard to duplicating it BECC do a range of lining decals down to 1.0mm so I think I'll use these, I have used them before to do the waterline boot topping on other ship models.
