Well My name is Trev both on the forum and off the forum (this surely shows my level of creativity).
Well I remember about a year ago seeing the build the titanic website by mark and was green with envy that I did not subscribe to it when it came out in Australia.
Imagine my delight when I was watching TV the other night only to see the advert for "Build the Bismark"
Well I have issue one and have called to subscribe and have been told I will receive issues 2 and 3 in about 3 weeks and issue 3 is free of charge, There after I will receive 4 issues at once every 4 weeks.
I decided to go on invoice only as really don't like giving bank details or credit card details regardless of the company (wife works in head office of a bank).
I have absolutely no building experience at all be it in plastic or wood so this is really exciting for me indeed!
I say now with no reservations that the part that is scaring the pants off me already is the thought of planking (looks difficult and fiddly).
At least I guess i have quite a few issues to go before i get to that point so I have plenty of time to build up the nerves and get some Valium J/K
Well look forward to getting to know you all and thanks to mark for this great site.
Trev

HI Trev,
Welcome aboard. I like people who use their real names on a forum. Don't worry about the planking too much. Just take it one plank at a time, and take your time. Plenty of help here if you get stuck.

Hi Trev welcome to the forum. Don't worry your self about the planking its quite easy on Bismarck as there are no fancy curves to get worked up about. The main thing I would say is take your time. Make sure everything is shipshape then check again, its easy to put things right before you glue than it is after. If you have any problems then just look around this forum the answer is probably there somewhere. Good luck with the build. AlanV

Welcome to the forum Trev. Hope you will find us all helpful and friendly, never be afraid to ask even if it sounds dumb! Have a look at other members models in various stages of construction and you will find that they are all doing very well. Main thing with wood, if you make a mistake, it is not the end of the world, if mothing else, wood filler can be a godesend!!! So just dive in and give it a go, I think that you will be very happy with the result.
