Hi im only now starting this build and was wondering what sort of glues people used for this model and also what tools or extra bits I should buy to get me started. Thanks.

Glue depends on whether you're sailing the model or not. If not then any PVA wood glue is fine. However, if it's going in water you should use a weather proof glue such as Evostick weatherproof PVA (in a blue container).
You'll also need some superglue and epoxy. I prefer Araldite Precision, which takes 24 hours to set, but sticks really well. Some people prefer quick setting epoxy, but the bond is not as strong.

Talking of glues......what glue will be used to bond down the decking?
I would'nt want to use CA in case it goes down squint and can't be repositioned.

i think Evostick impact adhesive will get my vote. Superglue in no good for large areas and PVA may tend to make the deck warp, being water based.

I use Evostick Impact for large areas of brass (such as the gun parts) and precision drop liquid super glue for sticking the small brass bits on.
