HI All,
Thought I'd say gidday as well. (That means hello in Australian).
Yes Australia has just started with the first issue. I've been building remote control boats for a while - but only in plastic variety. I did a 1:200 sovremenny which was pool only or flat lake running. Then I built the 1/72 flower corvette - plenty of fun that one. Tried to do a 1:350 Enterprise but the deck was so heavy it had a huge list on it so had to abandon that one. Anyway, looking forward to this beauty.
Oh and special mention to Mark whose tips on R/C and three engines look especially appealing.
Cheers all
Rod

Hey Rod
Another aussie here, So where are you from? I am from Nsw central coast.
The reason I ask is I put up a leaflet that had this website adress on it next to the bismark magazines in a few newsagents around here.
Welcome along and I bet like me your dying to get underway and seeing where the guys from the uk and germany are up to does not help the next issue cravings.

Hi Trev, I'm up in Brisbane. Strangely enough, I didn't know anything about this magazine issue until my daughter told me about it. I didn't believe her at first, I mean come on, someone is actually selling the entire Bismarck in 1:200 scale in 140 weekly parts.. come on I said... stop stirring me up. (She knows I'm mad about model boats.) We even had a bet that if I went up to the newsagent right there and then and it didn't exist she'd pay me $10. I lost the bet but was happy to pay her. First thing I did when I got home was google it and then the world opened up with the germans and the English web sites and how far they've come. Yeah I'm chaffing at the bit alright to get the issues flowing. cheers Rod

Ahh Trev, now you're making me salivate. Did you get the free gifts they promised too? and if so, what quality are they? I'm still waiting for my subscription to arrive. Hopefully it will come soon if you've got yours. My new bunnings clamps are justing itching to be used. Hey usual beginner post - how do I post images?

I reckon Trev's got some inside contacts. You'd think the priority would be Melbourne, Brisbane and then Newcastle

Hi guys
I was actualy quite pleased with the free gifts and the sanding block is alot bigger than it looks on the subscription form.
The magnifying glass is great too and is actualy made from glass quite suprised at that.
No inside contacts im affraid.
Hope you guys get your subscriptions soon.
And great workbench too! mine is just the good old dining table but i am using a board so I can move it off the table.
Will Post a pic of the build so far. (nothing glued but all numbered marked up and dry fitted)
