I have decided to get a 1:200 scale Hood from here: twin-horse.com/product_info.php?products_id=135. When my Bissy is finished. If Hachette do go ahead with either Prinz Eugen or Scharnhorst I will have to consult my finances rather than the wife as I am divorced. But I would like either of these partworks-the advantage being the cost is spread over a long period of time

I think we all could be waiting a while for antoher boat considering Hachette are doing the Lancaster. Maybe once the Lanc print run is done we will see another boat. Unless they do the release in December 2009/January2010 which would be rather risky conisdering not many people could afford to do both.

Hi , this is my first post on this forum. My choice would be the Prinz Eugen, one of the most elegant heavy cruiser ever built. My second choice would have to be the Yamato. Finally i would build the Scharnhorst and rework her into her sister ship Gneisenau.Hood would be a nice companion to the Bismark, all has to be 200 scale. Some one suggested an aircraft carrier, may i suggest the Graf zeppelin

Hi MickyR Welcome to the forum (currently in very sedate mode - no sign of dancing girls or petulant penguins lately) ....... It does pose a dilemma, what next. Poul and I live within a stones throw of each other and we have agreed to each attempt the Prinz Eugen next. Poul with his wealth of experience is going to guide me through the build I intend to individually plank the decks of the Bissy before I start, but that will be close to the last part of this project, so I expect to be about 3 - 6 months behind. Think my next marine type build will hopefully be a scratch build of the Aberdeen Pilot Boat, I have the plans already from the 'Model Boats' magazine.

Hi Baz, thanks for the welcome,I've been on the model mayhem site and paddle ducks for some time. Its great hearing all the differing points of view. I'm up to issue 98 and overall its not a bad kit and it will be rc. I must contact Markus about buying the railing set seems a lot better than hachett's offering

I must contact Markus about buying the railing set seems a lot better than hachett's offering The railings supplied by Hachette will require a great deal of patience to set up correctly, but may in fact look really nice if attached as per instructions. I was going to lay them down, but I'm having second thoughts and may actually construct them raised using the supplied stanchions ...... nothing like a challenge ... The units supplied by Markus certainly look the bees knees though Baz
