Hi Sky If model ship building is getting its hooks into you May I suggest a quarterly magazine that is published in UK. I haven't bought one for a few years Its called 'Model Shipwright' Its a bit obscure and difficult to find over here. (The folks from UK may be able to confirm it is still being produced) The mag is in about A5 format, soft cover and about 80 pages. The articles are normally supplied by what I would call master craftsman. and relate to scratch builds from ancient to the present. Plans are sometimes included Contributors come from all corners of planet earth. ...... The mag is classy, rather expensive, but worth every penny (eerrr .... dollar ) Baz

There are some rail fans on this forum. I wonder if they know your (and my) one-time local railway - the GNR - had four types of rail motive power: steam, diesel, electric and horse.

Hi mickyrubble I read that book to , very interesting read. It would be great to see a model of the Atlantis. I also bought the John Haynes railings for my Bismarck, they are pretty good mike

The Stanchions are actually the vertical portions of the Handrail. Hachette supplies the Stanchions (a few hundred of them!) and a coil of thread to link them together.
