Well done Markus, she is certainly a model to be very proud of. No prizes for guessing that you would be the first to post here A build thread of your 1/144 scale Bismarck ? What a daft question - Of course we want to see it !! Also, there are 1,197 topics on the board here - it would be great to have three more! nm

If you need to get into the hull for servicing purposes, how have you arranged the top deck to lift off, presumably all in one piece? (any pictures?) replaced the hachette deck by a single piece of 4mm MDF....

Great stuff Markus, as already said on your build diary, YOU'RE AN INSPIRATION TO ME AT LEAST. But if I look at the reactions, you're to others as well. Please keep your Bissy afloat because sicking is not an option for such a piece of art.

if she would sink i'd jump into the water for rescue... actually, the hachette model rather belongs into a showcase than onto a pond.... markus

Congratulations on a job superbly done!
As a matter of interest, I know that you build plastic radio control but is this your first "plank on frame" model?

Thanks Marcus, that makes my model easier to put together, but just one other query, what did you get hold of to lift off the deck? Mine is fastened down with about half a dozen small magnets and will need a fairly strong anchoring point to grab hold of to lift up. Thanks p.s. also intrigued to know how you got the picture with both hands holding up the deck!!! I often wish i had a spare pair of hands to hold bits in place while gluing/working on them!
