Personally I intended to mask the area where the deck will be glued. You certainly don't want to be gluing onto a painted surface, but more importantly, you don't want to risk getting paint on the printed deck.

Perhaps Markus could give some input. Are there any advantages to gluing now or should we wait until Hachette tells us to glue the decking? Also, is it advantageous to wait until the build says to paint the superstructure?

I think its best to wait till Hachette tells us .Its not a good idea to jump the gun on these things , it could cause problems later. mike

the decking can be glued as soon as the hull is complete & painted...
(hull bow section is completed at iss. 121)
better wait with painting the superstructure at least until iss. 130 - there's lots of small parts which are fitted later...

I reckon white glue will be fine Sky. But if you start gluing it down now, you'll have a devil of a job painting Bissie should you decide to do so in the future. I suggest you buy some Tamiya light grey primer and give things a burst with that before gluing down the decks. The primer will be very close to the correct colour anyway and you can even use it as your top coat. Baz

The deck is removable from the hull, so no problems later on. Also could have problems with glue sticking to the paint, (know this from doing the dolls house).
