Looks like the woodern parts are lazer cut, which would be a bonus no really fiddly cutting out! Taken a few years back at Southend Airport, just think of getting a Spitfire & Hurricane in the same scale...

I am tempted with this partwork as I used to build plastic aircraft kits before I started the Bismarck. Only thing putting me off is the size... at 1:48 scale Its enormous and have no idea where I would put it when complete!

One thing about my partworks is that my newsagents is no longer doing anymore partworks after this one. As I have been a long standing customer (with my Bismarck) I will be the only and last one to do the Lancaster and any future partworks. She had a chat with me last night saying no one was piccking up thier partworks anymore due to the recession so she is axing them all!

A lot of newsagents here in Canberra have that problem and won't get them in, luckily the ones I goto, only reason they don't stock something is if their supplier can't get hold of it. Sounds like you have a good newsagent chill, keep giving her lots of support and I don't blame her for axing them, tough luck to those not picking them up.

Oh i do -shes very pretty! lol --dont let the missus hear me say that! But it looks like this is my last partworks. I won't use WH Smiths ever again as they kept screwing up my Spitfire collection.

Millions of rivets. All glued on individually That will be issues 100 through 124. Joking apart, if you watch the video that comes with issue 1 that show simulating rivets by use of a pin wheel. It looks quite easy to do.

Glues for the Lancaster ?
The magazine recommends Gel superglue. I personally prefer white PVA wood glue, which is what the builder in the video seems to be using.
No More Nails is not really suitable.......
