The Waverley arrived back in Swanage as of last weekend, after an absence of several years. This was due to her sister ship, mv Balmoral, damaging part of our pier! Here she is arrving today enroute to a visit to Lulworth Cove: Here she is turning at Durdel Door for the trip back to Swanage. Note that the archway at Durdle Door looks like a dragon drinking from the sea! (the coast line is known as the Jurassic coast, due to dinosaur remains here, and is listed as a World Heritage Site. and back in Swanage with bach in background. Good day out!!!

She is looking better than ever. I'm jealous !! I was in my early twenties last time I saw her !
The dragon drinking from the sea is very convincing as well.

Clouds?? What are clouds? We only have blue skies down here in the deep south............................... Today and this weekend we have a railway steam gala with extra trains, a large field full of vintage cars, lorries steam rollers, tractors, etc and in the town a folk festival. Plus of course the Waverley is back for a 3 week season. Cannot move for people!! ;D I have also been asked today to show off my own Waverley at the next meeting of the local model railway club in our village hal next month. Its all go! and retirement is supposed to be a quiet, relaxing and peaceful time!! Some hopes. ;D
