dont be put off, once ya start it its quite simple and i,m hand painting it not spraying although spraying would MAYBE be a bit easier but there is the problem of masking tape and i fear if you spray it then when you do the second stripe that would get covered

Excellent job, Rush.
You have convinced me. When I reach that stage, I am seriously going to think about it. I may investigate the possibility of hand painting a thin stripe on the inner edge of each band and when dry, masking over it and then airbrushing the infill of the band? this will be repeated on the adjacent band.
Any thoughts on this?

that would work ,trouble is theres so many different angles to mask that you have to do 1 bit let it dry then do the other stripe which means more masking tape unless you use very small tape but then overspray would get on the previously sprayed stripethe best thing that i wish i had done was before all the parts were added was to spray/paint the stripe as you went, but unfortunately the painting instructions came a tad too late for that, also after doing all the stripes i,m pretty sure theres yet more parts to be added yet

the good thing is that now that ive posted some pics on how the bismarck could look,i hope its giving ppl the courage to attempt it,failing that ppl can always repaint over and stick with the basic camouflage, but hey i,m a person that likes a challenge and this sure is one lol

Actually, if some brave chaps wanted, they could paint in the stipes, then paint a thinish wash of grey over them.
This would be most accurate for how she looked after Bergen, by all accounts the paint job they did on her was rushed and left a slight trace of the stripes behind.
