Hello, all, My name is Ray, I am from London, UK. I have been making model for many years but nothing like this Bismark. My father passed away about two years ago and sorting out his things came across the part-works for the kit, and so decided today, to pick up from where he left off. I have parts 1-27, and understand that Hachette, can supply the other 120 issues or at least I hope the can. I have sent them an email, but no reply yet. I know it will cost a fortune but under the circumstances I think it will be worth it. My father only just started the model, up to issue 12, but i know he would like to have had the model finished as he was an old Navy man who had served throughout the 39-45 war. I shall look forward to any messages from other members, and will appreciate any help and advice any of you are willing to give me.
Hope to hear from you soon. Ray. (JackTar)

Breaks out the whistles........ peep peep - Welcome aboard Ray.
You might find it cheaper to pick up a set of issues off Ebay. There are a few come up where people have started and given up for various reasons.
Good luck, and as the othera say, just shout when you need a hand - we're all more than happy to help.

That nearly brought a tear to my eye, similar situation to myself, my dad died when i was younger and we used to make models together, say together i just used to watch He always promised to build with me a RC boat, but then he passed away! His memory and words still live on and through my I will build the biggest best RC ship he would have ever seen! Also it will be named after him Also bulk buying is no problem for them, just costs a lot! I brought 26 issues from them other week, I want to buy them all as ive got a fear of them going bust or something Welcome to forum, and stick with the build as its quite a long process

There is an advert in the February "Model Boats" magazine - someone from Nottingham is selling all 140 issues for £350.
