Thinking of our Australian colleagues on the first anniversary of Black Saturday. nm Thanks for the thoughts nm We had the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) doing their Sunday morning 'Australia All Over' radio show on the weekend as a 12 month remembrance live about 5km from our house in another obscure place called Jindivick ... cute name and lovely little town on top of a hill overlooking a massive expanse covering the southern Melbourne flatlands Here are a couple of photos sent to me of a caravan park about 3km from our house.................. No casualties and apart from the loss of a couple of small sheds, the park survived almost fully intact. ........... how lucky we all were !!!!! Baz

No flooding in Canberra yet, but getting some decent rain at long last.

Hi Baz,
Those are spectacular, but horrifying photos. Looks like you were incredibly lucky !

Saw Peter Temple's new book "Truth", a crime story set in Victoria at the time of the fires. Didn't get it yet - too many books right now!
