Hi Everyone
There is one woodpart of the Bismarck that totally baffles me in terms of what it is actually suppose to do, besides maybe helping to install the bilge keels in the right place...
I am now talking about the chest template that fits under the Bismarck on both sides. As you all know it is full of different types of holes.
My question to you. What one earth is going to fit into all those holes?
I simply cannot figure out what needs to be fitted into those holes later on.
Thanks in advance.

Hello I think you are speaking of the parts near the bilge keels. The holes are inlet and outlet of seawater for cooling, condensers... They will be filled by brass parts figuring the filtering grilles. www.subifa.de/heftvorschau/die_bismarck_h47.htm

Hi Bruno
Yes, that's the parts I am refering to.
Thank you for the info. That solves my mystery that kept me thinking for quite some time.
I could not find info about it on the net with the searches that I did, even all the real Bismarck pictures do not show what is going on below water level, etc.
