Thanks for the kind words guys! While I was cleaning up my workbench and packing away all Bismarck related bits I came across my Bismarck subscription letter and it was dated 16/9/2007 - hard to believe it has been over two and a half happy years of building People (normally wives, girlfriends, mothers and non-modellers) think we are crazy to spend so much money on these partworks models but if you look at the two and a half years of enjoyment building it and the value of the finished product then it is actually darn good value for money ;D

It's a superb job Grant. I echo what you say about value for money. Guessing at some 500 + hours of modelling pleasure, it works out at just over a pound an hour ! Compare that to the price of a football match ticket, or cinema ticket, or entry into Disney land.......

Excellent job, Grant - what colour did you use for the turret blast bags?

Thanks Mike B and Mark Mike B I used Humbrol 93 on the blast bags - not sure if it is historically accurate but figured if they where cloth based they certainly would not have stayeda linen colour for long and would have become a dirty brownish colour

Super modeling Grant. I too think it was worth the time spent making it when at last, we are afforded to admire the final result! Before they release HMS Wood... what's going to be your next build, do you know? Have a last 'K' for your beautiful efforts.

Thanks Robert Next on the table is the old DeAgostini Bounty partworks(which I have all the issues for) and of course the Victory as and when parts arrive. Still thinking about Schnelboot Also waiting to be built are three TRex radio control helicopters which i build for a friend of mine to earn some modelling pocket money ;D
