Hi,
I have an issue and wondered if anybody had an answer. I'm sure it's fairly simple and I'm just missing something...
When building the R/C version at what point do you attach the stern tubes?
In issue 113 it gives the details for building the STATIC version and says that R/C will be described later but by issue 117 the R/C ones already appear to have been completed...
Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Westy

Dear Westy I put my stern tubes in after I had completed the second wooden skin on the hull (which I did with 1m long mahogony strips of the same width and thickness and instead of the 30cm lime wood that came in the kit) so that I could glue it all in place and put filler in where required before painting the hull with primer. Although in my case I covered the hull in a light fibreglass and resin coating before painting to provide extra strength (ducks on the boating pond have quite strong beaks !!) and to guarantee a waterproof hull.

Are there any instructions provided for doing it with the r/c version? I can only find the ones for the static model in issue 113. Thanks.

If you go to this german website you can see all the index to all the issues (they have scanned in all the weekly issues), while it is in german, the pictures are usually adequate to see what is going on. It also shows that pages for the radio control. www.subifa.de/heftvorschau/die_bismarck_aktuell.htmThis web address takes you to the individual weekly issues (again, in german), just substitute the issue number in place of the "117" www.subifa.de/heftvorschau/die_bismarck_h117.htmYou can see that isse 117 and 122 have more on the fitting of the shafts and supports.
