Hello, I realise that gluing the fore AA gratings as shown on the model will create a .8mm step ie a 15 cm step on the real ship. This is far enough to kick on it and fall down, particularly on a battle ship when rushing unde fight conditions. I know some of you used plasticard to get the gratings flush with the deck but as i haven't drown the shape before gluing the wood parts i found it too tricky. So this is my way to do it. First cut off the deck the 2mm areas where the gratings are supposed to get stuck. Then where needed (where there is no wood or plastick wall) glue some scrap wood under the deck to support the gratings. Then glue on the walls and on the previus wood parts small planks to leave exactly the thickness of the gratings free. Thats done (Only a sample at the moment)

Nice idea Bruno, you may need to shave a bit off the brass wall parts underneath the grating there.
I didn't modify mine, got a bit lazy and decided it didn't need doing, glad you are more diligent!

You are right Eric. That's probaby some extra job i'll have to do.
I intend to do it when the walls are in place. So I'll have the exact size and shape to sand down.

Nice tip Bruno. Good to see a different solution.
