Hi, I have been attaching my second layer of planking with modelling pins and thus have small holes in my second layer that sometimes go through the 1st layer (yes that's me being heavy handed  ) So I am wondering, I am going to be Glattfixing my hull with 2 coats inside and 4 outside, will this seal the little holes? Or am I going to have a fun time with some wood filler  Hope that makes sense, I can take pics if needs be. |

Very very slight damping of the hull will make the holes invisible. Then glattfix or similar will finish the job.
Next time, use sellotape instead of pins on second planks!!!!!!(make sure it is not the cheap version though).

Ta Swanrail. So if I put a damp cloth over the hull when I am done this should do the trick? Well I do like these pins and they are reusable which sellotape isn't so umm im being environmentally friendly rofl  Also would you suggest I apply the wood filler then do the glattfix or the other way round? |

used pins for 2nd planking myself glattfix filled all holes, no filler needed  markus |

Great to hear Markus. I will neede some filler around the cooling water/bilge keel template so I assume apply this then the glattfix?
