I have found a little known Danish product which can be used to create near perfect 90 degree angles to clamp your work to (in all 3 planes at the same time) and it can be made up to almost any size. Oh, and it is relatively cheap. That's my tip for the month.

Perhaps we should build the model completely of Lego, at least it would be different............................(no 2nd planking to worry about!)
