This is quite useful for temp holding down small or awkward shaped objects (such as the bilge keel in issues 37/38). I use Evostik weatherproof wood glue which is fast setting (about 10minutes), but takes 24 hours to fully cure. The sellotape holds the part(s) in place long enough for the initial grab. using the sellotape dispenser, it is possible to get small lengths off the roll single handed whilst keeping the part in place with the other!!!

I agree. I mainly use the 1in wide sellotape, on a dispenser for single-handed takeoff (the other hand is trying to hold the piece/plank in place!), and it is very useful for where I cannot easily get a sliding clamp in place (I don't like using the little screw-in clamps due to them making lots of holes in the wood - it rankles my sense of good engineering and also reminds me why toilet paper tears so easily !!! - also, being a submariner, I was taught that lots of holes in the hull are not good when trying to surface !!!!!!!!!!!!)
