During the build of this model, as well as others, I raid the kitchen and "borrow" the brass weights from the scales. These come in various sizes, from a 1lb down to 5 g (we have both metric and imperial). These are useful to hold down surfaces which must be glued flat, and where standard clamps will not go. The small ones can be lined up around quite small parts, again to hold them flat.
