Thanks guys, it was enormously satisfying to finally put all these pieces of brass on the ship!
i had been worried abot the rails on the two towers, but in the end found them very easy. After rolling the rails round the plastic former, I then glued the end parts together to make them hold their round shape and give them ridgidity, then I offered them up to the plasic towers from the bottom and slid them into position. As they were so well sized, they (with care) went into their position and stayed there until I had glued them in place with CA applied to the underside of the lip the rails sit on.

Latest Monthly update, finished upto issue 65. The aft signal station was a bit of a fiddle, but went together OK.

Thanks guys The R/C fitting out has been slow, rudders motors and speed controlers are in place, as is the wiring loom, and ariel, but I haven't glued in the prop shafts, too worried about damaging them, and the batteries are still to be done. I'll look at it all soon....especially putting all the wiring together!!! I have also drilled out a 2mm hole in part D to accept a cut down 2mm prop shaft for the static centre prop.

LOL! My normal table is covered in other models just now......my better half has ordered that my collection of 1/72 scale aircraft that were taking up a shelf in my wardrobe must be disposed of!
I am slightly pi**ed about it, but as she is from Middlesborough and the family motto seems to be 'fight to the death' I feel that if I give her this one, she will leave my ship and tank collection alone!
So, one Lancaster, one Henkel 111 two Me 110s 4 Me 109s one Me 262 one FW 190 and two Spits are no more!
Ah well.......
