Hi, thanks everyone for your comments, I am pleased with it so far, especially as I have not as yet had to use any filler mainly due to listening to all the advice given on this forum, keep it coming because I'm sure I will need it in the future.

Hi swanrail, I hope you don't mind but Ive taken your idea of a jig for the hull band and mdified it. This is my version. . Trevor

Nice one Trevor. Mine was only basic, as it did the job and is only used the once!!! Incidentally, my two holes were set up as per the Anatomy book, to give the wider "black" band. Others on the forum have opted for narrower bands, and hence the jig needs to be made accordingly!!

Think I am with you there on the filler issue Trevor - I am waiting and observing at the moment to take the plunge.

Although at times I am a bit concerned that my model is a bit lacking compared to other peoples models.

Hi swanrail, I'm opting for the same with band as yourself. Plus my build has come to a standstill until I get the next 4 issues and I wanted to build something.

Your planking certainly looks smoother than mine.
Well done.

Thanks Bry, it is as I've said before the tips on this forum are first class and that has helped my build tremendously.

That home made tool is that to get the black line correct on the side of the ship and the planking is definatelly smoother than mine atm
