SO when are you going to start planking that bad boy Skyfire? Are you gonna be using pins to hold the planks??

Will be planking as soon as I have the cutting finished for the 3rd motor mod, (which should be very soon). And will probaly use pins and clamps, (where possible) to hold the planks.

Its a good start Skyfire. I hope you don't mind me mentioning, but there seems to be a small gap between the planks. You'll get a stronger hull if you can push them up tight against each other, and make sure you glue the edges so the planks glue to each other as well as the frames. Looking forward to seeing more progress

Also I think the small gap is only on the 1 side. Thanks for the hint about gluing them to each other, did think about that once or twice, But don't think the instructions said anything about it.

Gluing the planks to each other along their edges not only makes the hull stronger but makes the sanding easier and more effective - you don't push one plank in more than the next one when they're fixed together.
I'm sure you can get some glue in there!

Ahh ok, gettting some glue in should be fairly easy. Thinking of using a waterproof glue for the 2nd layer of planking rather than the plain white glue I am using now.
