Wrong threat, Achtung!, but your awards thread doesn't take replies.
Thanks for all your awards work - I gave you a K but couldn't tell you because of the No Replies.

The easiest solution is to use some 1mm brass wire or copper wire from some twin & earth. Wrap about 10 turns around a suitable sized dowel to form a "spring" shape.
Take it off the dowel, expand it lengthways slightly so that you can cut the rings with sidecutters. Now close the ends to form the closed rings. Pick the best four rings out of the bunch. It all gets painted eventually.

Solid core electrical wire - used for wiring the house. Not the flex used for appliances which has lots of thin conductors twisted together.
Alternatively go down to the local model shop and buy some 1mm brass wire.

Nice to hear Robert, you'll be belting through the issues with gusto!
I am slowly getting through the rigging, not as difficult as I had feared, just taking it a bit at a time!

Odd, your second pic looks more like a wolf coming out of the sea than a model ship...gotta go to specsavers! LOL!
One tip mate, you will need to shave at least two maybe three mills off the inside step of the hangers, you might want to do it before the delicate brasswork goes on.
