Hi Robert, I guess you are concerned about the warping in the deck? I had the same problem; some of my deck pieces arrived with a warp in them which I managed to flatten out before sticking them onto the deck beams. Unfortunately, over time the warp returned and I decided to take radical action and replace the whole central portion of the deck. If you are reluctant to go this far, might I suggest you steam the offending parts, let them settle under weights and then after a suitable drying period, coat the underside of the deck with resin, returning the deck into position under the weights. This should stop the warp returning. As for the port side top edge of the citadel armour, looking along the line of the top edge I'd say you need to strip back the top line of planks and replace it so that it comes up to meet the bottom edge of the deck. Critically looking along the line of the of the whole model from various vantage points during the build to see the smoothness of the lines, is very important. David

David hi david, the decking is not warped, the gap came from sanding back the planking to meet top of ribs. at this point, I don't intend to rip off any planks as I am doing side extension mod which will correct the gap sitation and the other problems will sort hem selves with sanding and filler if required. robert

Starting to take shape Robert. You are approaching that first milestone which I have really enjoyed. Not so keen on the fiddly brass bits though...

Good news Robert!
i felt that once I was past the Bilge Keel I was on the home straight with the planking, it's fairly straight forward after that!
