good point, but never had problems with 'rotten' hulls - all of them were treated from both sides.
if you have a crack in the outer planking, the humidity won't easily pass the glue layer between 1st and 2nd planking and evaporate through the inside of the hull.
maybe they suggested this outside treatment for a single planked hull ??
really can't tell which way is better, only time will tell....

Doh! Missed all these comments, thanks lads and ladette (pc). Have been have a sanding binge in the garden, an now my arm is sore, so I'll have to use my left hand to drink the lager. Anywho, the hull so far. Or so far from Hull! Hey their in the premiership now, woohoo.

your build looking really good i haven't been brave enough to spray the hull yet am going to ddo a little more prep first , but yours appears to be a nice finish .
