My Bismarck build? Chickened out! Got about ten issues, they were coming slowly, wrote out a cheque for the next dozen issues and then asked myself if I would have the time, skill and commitment to finish. Someone new on the forum was looking for early issues so I bundled them all off to him. Might get the whole lot when it comes as a complete kit.
Plan to build the HMV 1:250 card Bismarck (with photo-etched bits), but starting on some easier models first.
Started a wooden fishing boat model, but it's a while since I last worked on it.
Just jealous of the great modellers on this forum.

It was never my intention to build a totally historically accurate model of anything. I just like doin it. think of the fun you have glueing bits of wood to your fingers and cutting yourself with craft knives. and at the end of it you can say, I made that. perfection is boring.

You are much too modest Shane, Your deck is beautiful! The caulking is first class and the plank colour and tonal variation just perfect, and the whole deck is very neat. Have a well deserved 'K' point. Looking forward to seeing your build develop. What width are your planks, 1mm? David

you are far to kind oh master,i was very worried about the colour being to light but feel a bit better now, although I have seen some decking that looks like rose wood or mahogany on some other builds .In answer to the width of the planks the stirring sticks i am using are between 1.25mm and 1.35mm,hopefully that variation will not be to much to worry about, thanks for the 'K' point will return the favour, have only just worked out how to do it .
