It is indeed, well spotted. And thanks for your feedback on the pics. The quality isn't as good as I'd like as I'm using the camera on my phone, which isn't too good to be honest. Hopefully I'll get my real camera back (on loan to a friend) and get some descent shots.

Hello, Well, here I am again with a few more pics of my planking progress. She's starting to look more like a boat now and for those of you who I have talked to in the chat rooms, some good news! I managed to recover the stern section deck frame, which fell down the back of my desk.... ;D Anyway, to the pics... Here's a long shot from the bow showing planking progress. A view of the planking at the curve of the bilges. I had a go at tapering the planks, as shown by mark in his build, to help form the curves and to put less strain on the planks while the glue sets. I could have steamed the planks instead but I was working late and didn't feel like it. A shot of the stern which is developing some nice curves. I'm now thinking about how to do the prop shaft holes! Time to go digging in the forum I think!

Good that you managed to fish out the missing framing and nice looking planking too.

Cheers. Amazing what you can do with some string and a bit of bent wire.... ;D But yes, I now have all of my deck framing, so I might start considering starting on the thinking on how to do the deck work. Until then..... more planking!

There is one thing I would ask, and that is should I plank over the side prop shaft holes and somehow drill them out later? or should I plank round the prop shaft holes? just go on planking and drill the propshaft's holes later... markus

Hey guys and gal, Time for an update. Well, planking goes well and I just received a delivery of modeling pins as recommended by Afk_matrix. Matrix, my thumb thanks you! Thanks Markus for your prop shaft advice, unfortunately I had by that time begun experiments...fingers crossed!!! Anyway, on with the pics: Here we see my new pins in action. The jury is still out on whether or not I like the colour! Just a general progress shot. Those planks almost fix themselves now I'm using pins! A nice stern shot showing planking and the holes for the prop shafts.

It's a tempting offer matrix, but I don't think pink would suit me!!! Maybe a nice salmon....... Hmmm..
