But do not get carried away, else you will have nothing left!! (if the ribs show, you have gone too far). And you'll to start again with the planking. lol Have to agree with Jim as well about the progression not being natural .

Wow never been called a syndrome before But for me the worst of the build is not finding this forum till I was upto issue 35 Luckily I seem (cross fingers) to have managed to make no major mistakes in those 35 issues. The best part for me is finally finishing the planking and being able to see the hull in all its glory. I am actually looking forward to the brass lol as I like seeing all the detail being added.

I agree with Skyfire, the build seems to wander about at will. Cannot really blame Hachette, as their Titanic build was logical and easy to assemble, we did not have lots of boxes full of parts waiting to be fitted!!! Also getting concerned that the number of issues remaining after the latest German issue is getting less and less yet their would appear to be a very large amount of fittings to go on, anchors, aircraft, bollards, searchlights, etc. to say nothing of all the guns!!!!

Would agree Swanrail,
I had the same thoughts regarding the amount of issues remaining. We are only half way through the superstructure and, with the next 25 issues covering little ground, I fear a mad rush at the end may be inevitable. Just hope the bit in between doesn’t put us off.

Just hope the turrets and guns aren't premade plastic things we just drop into place with some glue right at the end.

I have felt like that at times, even to the point of almost giving up, but then think what would I do with a part built hull.

You could use it as a window box - albeit, an expensive one..

Worst Parts so far the planking and as most have said the parts coming in and not being able to be used. (Also the room the ship takes)
The best parts is the help from the forum and seeing the mighty ship come to life

my pet hate is having so many bits hanging around and the ad hock way the build is going and the best that was seeing it on the water and not finding a leak

I have felt like that at times, even to the point of almost giving up, but then think what would I do with a part built hull. I would never give up, but am frustrated with the lack of any logical build progression. Maybe it will all become clear later on when we are scratchin our heads trying to remember which brass parts came with each issue. Thats why I stopped opening issues.
