Hello from Malta everyone. We've only received issues 1 and 2 here, so our builds look like distant memories to most of you. In any case, best foot forward and all that. On the basis of what I have seen, the build shall provide 'interesting' moments over the next three years. Reality check here. The build is spread over 140 issues and that's 2 years 8 months, or therabouts, so we'll see where we get. I've already spotted a place at home where the end product will hopefully have pride of place. What I do know is that I have access to what appears to be a very friendly banter-full (penguin friendly!) forum where I can bounce off build problems/issues. Now that's good news!

Do they still do the Malta Marathon? Did it one February about twenty years ago.

yes welcome to the best BISMARK forum on the web,an whereabouts in MALTA ,my mum goes their nearly every year she loves it , i think its BUGIBBA BAY not 100% sure or ST PAUL'S BAY 1 or other ,anyway hope you enjoy your build, loads of pic's would be great and any help just ask,anyone will help if they can.

You're right, the first issues DO see a long time ago, but I alwas think that they were to most exciting issues....watching this monster grow before your very eyes!!!

Achtung, any time your penguins want to fly in (ask BBC about that) they're more than welcome.
nm, yep, teh Malat Marathon is still held. Never ran in it though - too much like hard work. Haha.

Welcome aboard Borgland, we are getting truly international!!! Was in Malta about a year ago on a cruise (2nd time) and am still amazed at the old buses there, they certainly have character, long may they live!!!!

I am sentry, I am from Malta too. Nice to have someone from our island. Well now we are in issue eight, but have not yet starting building it until i have all the hull parts. It is my first attempt to build such a large scale model, hope would be worth it.

Wecome Borgland, You will find loads of help from the crackpots on here.
Iv never been to Malta,would love to go 1 day, Iv got a photo of me granddad when he was there in ww2 and i love to stand on the same spot and have me pic taken,me mum has been and she loved it,shes going back. anyway have fun building
