I hear you Eric, my partner's boy is 8 and he has 2 sisters, 15 and 17, oh joy, and they wonder why I want to build a large shed/condo..ol nice steam train swan...there is one here in torbay...never been on it yet though robert

I did not actually build the engine, but only drove it as a drivers experience present. I am however in the process of restoring a 115 year old railway coach, similar to those in Thomas the Tank books. We use ours as a workshop so its not runnable. taking two years so far with at least another two to go!!! It is nice to mess about with large chunks of timber, nice change from the fiddly bits on Bismarck!!!

Blimey bet that willbe something when its finaly up and running. Theres a steam railway called East Lancs over at Bury Lancashire that runs a Thomas The Tank Train. Bet your carridge would look fab being pulled by Thomas.
