Chris, looking at my 1/350th Tamiya Tirpitz, there is definately more to go on the barbette, in the vertical areas. I would wait, I think.

Chris, I know we drill out holes in the wood behind the small round portholes, but do we also drill out behind the larger squared portholes?

ok 63 is 2,half cm high/ 4,half cm length/ 2cm wide!!the 1st parts went together well unto glueing them to the base my slots were to small!! next those 447 bits if u glue the base the go in at a 45'0 angle then u can push the top part onto the rail. parts 448 i really struggled with again the slots were wayyyyyy to small i've got them on but not happy. thats as far as i've got for now!! hopefully doing some more today?

Hi Chris, glad you are making progress with issue 63. I took one look at it and got palpatations! With the slots I suppose there is no way you can elongate them or even file down the 'lugs' on the pieces that go in the slots to make them fit better?

yes use the tip of a sharp knife very carefully to widen them and some of the pieces slots as well. but as i said be very careful!! step put the slotted bits on 1st before glueing them down!! step 7 is pain the slots toooo small!! and parts 449 u might want to stick before step 3??? as for those 447 bits i managed to get them all on!! try to make the align them!! also the top hooks u might have to slightly bend the rails to fit!! if u can't make some fit u can get a way withit in certain places!! anyways painted most of mine looks really good! anyway hope this helps??

after struggling for a few hours on the small uprights in issue 63, super glue bonding almost immediately, I tried dry fitting them (they are extremely precise) I found this works better then apply glue with a cocktail stick hey presto. no probs. ( considering I have bad eyesight and shaky hands I was pleased with the results) also a pair of reverse tweezers is handy they stay closed until you open them making positioning pretty simple. they cost about £3
