Hi Colleagues,
would you be interessted in a pre-view of the magazines that have been published up to now here in Germany ? - one of our members of the www-die-graue-flotte-de has been keeping us up to date with a preview of the lastest editions and could arrange for one for this board too.
Please post me if your interested.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
Yes - I'd be very interested in previewing future issues. I'm sure it would help me avoid some of my inevitable silly mistakes because I'm not very good at RTFM (Reading The F****** Magazine)!
Thanks Ron

Hi Paul
Thats a great help, but any chance in getting information on the build problems Germany is having and to which issues or parts they relate to?

Hi Paul Thats a great help, but any chance in getting information on the build problems Germany is having and to which issues or parts they relate to? I forgot, I notice Germany is showing the RC set inc prop's & motors etc for 169euros (£115), presume it will be around that price in the UK too.

Hi Crispy,
I havn't noticed any plastic strips up to now (??) - all the parts except for the top where the anchors are let down, the front and the back bits as well as the part for the third screw are made of wood. The other mentioned parts are made of resin, but they do not fit properly. We have had a lot of discussions in this matter and many of us have claimed them and have received new parts from Hachette, which partly have slightly different dimensions. These parts seem to be a general problem, which has not been completly solved yet.
The small wooden blocks will hold the deck.
You're right in one point - we've got a hell of a lot of work ahead of us.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Chrispy,
Amati suggests to use muslin bandage (gauze bandage) together with white glue to seal and stiffen the inner sections of the hull.

Hi Chrispy, Amati suggests to use muslin bandage (gauze bandage) together with white glue to seal and stiffen the inner sections of the hull. That sounds like an odd suggestion - White glue is flexible and not likely to stiffen the hull very much. What's the feedback from the German builder's ?
