Hi Matt, Hope that you had a good Xmas! You are going back a bit, but the site that I found selling mains driven LED spotlights: www.lightbulbs-direct.com/category/401/led-gu10/no idea how good they are, but lately LED technology has leapt forward at a great rate so what was impossible a few years ago is now the norm! I personally shall not be lighting up my Bismarck, prefer her to be in full battle rig, which meant absolutely no lights. Things like the nav lights. etc if lit could only be really done using fibre optics, as the lights are much smaller that the smallest LED. and going by my Victory lights, only effective in the dark! Talking about the Victory, have been given a detailed book on the Victory for Xmas, meant for very serious modellers (even talks about the individual scarf joints on the keel and ribs!), Beautiful line drawings and a very large amount of detail so that if I had it when building my model, life would have been much easier! To give you an idea, their model was designed to go in a case 7 feet long! All the model was built from cheap scrap timber and they show jigs on how to make items such as the stern window frames, lanterns, etc, so the total cost would be a fraction of my parts built one! Happy New Year, and hopefully completion of our Bismarcks!

Hello Don. Thanks for the information on the lights. It may come in handy in the future if we have to change out to LEDS. I have also made up my mind and I shall not be fitting light to my Bismarck. A Victory 7 foot long. I have no idea where it would fit in the house. I did enjoy building the Victory. I am also very proud of the finished result. I also appreciated all the help that you and others gave. Still working away on my Bismarck. Plenty of work still required. Sometime this year I hope to finish. Some little brass bits, painting etc and we will reach the end. Hope you and yours have had a good Christmas. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year
Matt
