FOUR motors? She'll have nowt but the props in the water at full speed!! yep, four just like the real thing will supply the 12V motors with 6 cells only (7,2V) so she won't be too fast afterwards...at least i hope so ;D

this time the hull will be waterproofed by 2-component polyurethane resin istead of glattfix - hope it works...

the awful smell has finally gone - now i know that 2-component resin is definetly not for use inside the house, even if you keep the windows open

Dumb Question but what is that long clear tube running down the middle? is that the flourescent tube?
Great build so far will look good when she all finished

Hi Grant,
Yeah that is a florescent tube, I used to have coloured ones in my PC case to jaz it up lol.
So are you going to do holes in the bottom of your superstructure Markus so the light shines up into it?

yes, the 4 tubes in the hull will illuminate the whole ship by using a modified superstructure and white paint all over the inside i planned to use acrylic glass for the windows and a drop of clear glue for the portholes. there's several hundreds of portholes so this will be a trial of patience

I think I read it was 1100 portholes when I looked up the model on the Cornwall Model Boats site.
