Hello, I am a very new member and love your Bismark. I am only just starting mine, so I hope in about ten years time mine comes out half as good as yours. Ray. (jackTar)

Welcome to the forum Artur and many thanks for your kind comments. I am new to the hobby and to be honest there are far more impressive builds in the Diary section - just take a look at the detail Baz has put on the Arado's is a good example!

This Bissy will never see water Coenie.. That was a challenge to far for me. I simply built her - more or less - by the instructions. Not thought about display to be honest. As you can see, all I have done so far is give the build stand a lick of black paint. I originally thought about a hardwood base stand but I don't have the tools to make one and haven't seen anything on the interweb. Perhaps someone on the forum can make a suggestion or point me to a supplier of such things? Not really a build stand, but a display case: www.premiershipmodels.com/index.php/fuseaction/shop.category/categoryid/69I am seriously considering buying a custom made one from them, price is a bit steep for me though...

excellent build, if mine turns out half as good I will be more than happy, now comes the hard part, turret Anton did not have range finders, turret Dora did. I apologise if you think I'm being petty. easy to overlook minor details you prob just mixed them up.

Jim
Thanks for the comments and no need to apologise, you are not the first to spot some mistakes on my build but at least this one is easy to fix. I did not glue them and have now swapped them over to the correct location.
Well spotted.

forward conning tower, above the admirals bridge, port and starboard quadruple AA mounts should have handrail,s. either side of forward searchlight. sorry again, I am actually using your's and markus's as a benchmark. so I sit and compare yours to mine for hours.

Mistakes are aplenty on this build Jim but I am not to sure I agree with you on this one.. There are no handrails fitted in the instructions or pictures of the final model but they may have been fitted to the real ship - if that's what you mean?
