Hello Eric, Yes planking is long and sometimes (I must admit it) boring. But when I read here or there printed deck problems like: "It is too wide, too narrow, I can't fill the gaps ..." I'm pleased because I will avoid all this problems and lead my deck exactly where I want. (At least I hope )

Wrong way round!
The red clips should be for the gun barrels on the port side, the green clips are for the starboard side!
Happy New year.

Is it me or do the barrells look long?

You are probably right Achtung!!
But the preset barrels are chicken skewers and they are probably not at correct length.
In the future I intend to buy metal barrels for more realistic effect.

Ah I see. Hope you can get some metal barrels. They make all the difference to the model and are far superior to the supplied plastic ones.

Do metal barrels justify the cost? Surely, once the barrels are painted, you won't know the difference between metal and plastic?

More personal preference I think comes into here.

The plastic barrels have molded blast bags. Personally I went for the turned metal ones as I want the elevate the main guns.
