Ok this is where I will be showing my pics and updates of the build.
Up to now I have recieved Issues 1,2,3,4,5, no 6 or 7, 8,9,10,11.
Had a nightmare with the database factory about my subscription. Got a sub letter in March, give dates they would take the money out of my bank account for the issues, everything went smooth, until last Wednesday. I got another letter from the database factory changing the payment dates, the letter was dated 11/05/2009 and they had changed the next payment date frm 25/05 to 12/05, so only 1 day notice that the money was coming out. Fair enough, I thought, the money was in my bank anyway. But after reading the back of the letter the is a statement, saying that they must give 10 working days notice before changing payment dates or amounts. So I phoned the customer service line, and got a load of crap about they can change what ever they want, price or date. So I have now passed all the details on to my bank.
I'm going to keep my subscription going as I don't have a local papershop anymore, But this will be the last partwork I will order from eaglemoss/data base factory.
And as a side note, issues 6 and 7 haven't arrived yet, the customer service guy said the the publishing company are re-packing those issues and couldn't give me a firm date as to when I will recieve them.
Hope the build go's better for the other guys/gals that are building this.
Pics to follow, soon.

Hi Paul, I did the solar system, and found the customer service quite good. Faulty issues replaced without question and an overcharge was refunded promptly. I hope they get their act back in order soon. Look forward to seeing the pics of your build. I was very tempted by this one, but SWMBO was moaning about no where to put it

Other than the problem with the angle of the earth support and the meshing of the earth drive bevel gear (for which they are sending me a replacement issues 2 and 3 free of charge) I have had no problems. Issues 8,9,10, and 11 arrived at the end of last week.

First off I have recieved issues 8,9,10,11.
Ok, now bad news guy's.
Because I have made a complaint about the direct debit guarantee, being broken by the data base factory, they have suspended my account for the time being. I have been in touch with eaglemoss direct and they said that there wasn't a lot they could do about my account as all accounts are controlled by the database factory. I am waiting for an email or phone call from the eaglemoss complaint department.
So today I have sent copies of the direct debit mandates and copies of the email's I have recieved to BBC's watchdog program, they have investigated partwork companies in the past. My bank manager has also requested all copies so he can make a formal complaint from the Natwest bank against the Direct debit change. He stated to me that the database factory have broken the laws of banking by only giving 2 days notice of a payment date change. They should allow 10 working days for a date or payment ammont change.
Before today I had 3 subscriptions with eaglemoss/ the database factory, I have now stopped all 3 debits from going out of my account.
I spent around £85 a month for 3 subscriptions from these guys. Not happy.

After a couple of phone calls back and forth with the data base factory/eaglemoss and my self. It seems as though everything is back on track. Took it's time though, I think the fact that I sent the BBC watchdog program copies of all the details helped.
Account back on line, email from a eaglemoss manager and delivery of issues 6 and 7. I am now paying for everything (3 subs) with credit card rather than direct debit.
Photos will be up this afternoon, just going to get some batteries for the camera.

And another 4 issues came today. 20 to 23. I remembered to take photos of the seperate issues this week. But decided to just put all 4 issue parts into one photo. So just 1 photo of the parts and 1 photo of how the thing stands at the moment. After this installment, there are some loose bits at the bottom of the sun column, I should have waited for the next delivery before putting it together. By the way, this is going to be very big when finished.
