Ah, thought it was familiar!
Been to HMS Belfast twice......glad we managed to preserve her, one of the best British cruisers ever built.

Having a bit of a conundrum with the two cylindrical bits in issue 59, the ones you use the special former with. Tried Mark's method for forming and works fine, problem is with the CA I'm using. It's a medium and don't seem to want to stick, thought of using a thin CA which flashes off quicker. Suggestions?

I used a medium - use the smallest amount of glue you can (less is most definitely more with superglue). That, or hold it in place for longer

Wellsorted that issue out, 58 and 59 that is. Not overly impressed but there is always filler and paint to hide these tiny errors. and

just noticed I didn't show you the bad bits, oh well Then I opened issue 60, my first bit of decking, and noticed what appear to be a sort of gouging over areas and some lines representing edge of planls are missing. this is looking very closely, so I decided befoe I go off on one and ring the boss I'd try and see how 2 coats of varnish help this situation, I'll let you know tomorrow

The towers look great Rob. My deck is the same - some faint lines, but no gouges. I decided not to worry as you've got to look quite closely to see the faint/missing lines. (And if anybody tells me that there is a missing line on the deck they will get told to go away )

Finished 61 and 62 today, still waiting on re-issue of 60 to sort out attaching those walls , will post some pics this weekend. Hey Don, your doing your own planking, what did you do with your planking from issue 60? Its worth a drive to Dorset for a day out? By the way, here's a tip for others, if your varnishing your supplied decking, wait for it to thoroughly dry before sanding those decks to fit otherwise, you'll be sanding dried varnish, very carefully.

Sorry Robert, I used my supplied decks as patterns to make the bases for the various deck fittings. I did this by overlaying the decking and cutting into my deck plankings a la marquetry techniques so the orignal decks in issue 60 got mangled!!! You m ight like to know that the Swanage railway now has an observation car as per the railway near you.
