yeah just a couple coats for now, fiddly bits of wood when all in place to actually get on....will need fine tweaking and sanding when the time comes...pretty well made up my mind to attach main deck and do access per superstructure at rear, you won't really need all that access from the fore peak back, seems ridiculous to me, so planning this as I go along, but with 72 more weeks, I'm in no rush, speaking of rush any one heard from Rushzombie lately?
As the weather has been so lovely out, NOT. I opened issue 66, looks fairly straight forward, question for those masterbuilders ahead of me, what did you use to snip the eyelet wires once there glued on? My wire snips are rather large and clumsy for a job this intricate,

sorry for the delay in reply, took me a while to understand your question - maybe because i did it in a different way:
1. drilled some 1mm holes for the eyelets into the superstructure 2. put the eyelets onto the tube without gluing or shortening them 3. attached everything to the superstructure 4. a few drops of superglue here and there...
Damn......why did'nt I think of that one? Nice idea Markus!
Robert, I used wire snips from a kit similar to the freebee set supplied in the early issue, only a better sharper set. I snipped all the straight wire off, leaving just the round section.
started this issue alright and looked at the photo from instructions and it looks like there are some coverings on the 3 windows together where the exhaust pipe comes vertically out of the deck. and if I missed something thought I should ask, also, that little wall just foreward of that has no brass wall, does it get one?
Hi Robert, I got my brass pipe centred exactly between the windows and the deck above, so the pipe didn't cover the window at all.....but it is a real fiddle to get right!
You are spot on that the small bit of wall doesn't get a covering of brass. I wasn't happy about that, so as I put in my own build diary, i took some off cut from one of the frets and cut to shape and glued brass to cover it.
