Another Tip: If you have sanded the walnut 2nd layer planking and want to bring back the shine, get a tissue, (any standard nose blowing type tissue will do - LoL) and rub the walnut firmly, but not too hard and the shine will return.

Well some more work on the Bluenose. These small pieces of wood that represent the frames are worse than the planking on Bismarck.

Thanks. The small pieces I have done are spaced 12mm apart. I used a scrap piece of deck planking cut to 12mm as the spacer between each part and ended up with 13 each side, (plans showed 12 each side). Someone else on the course worked out the 12mm spacing and, (I think) had the right number.

BTW the Bluenose and Bismarck will be on exhibition over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of October with the Canberra Model Shipwright Society. Coolo She is looking good Sky

Coming along very nicely Sky Have you finished your second tutoring seh yet ? Baz PS - Big improvemts in the weather down this way, have had to mow the lawn every week since 1 Sep.
