We may be forced to give you "master builder" status soon Thanks Baz. Yes "Master Builder" has a nice ring to it. LoL ;D A slightly different view of the Bluenose. I still need to do some work on the bow area. I was thinking of using what the instructions say and then laying a second plank of walnut over the top to match the rest of the hull.

The space between the deck and the superstructure is due to the deck being curved in 2 directions at once. bow to stern and larboard to starboard. Hi Skyfire, One possible solution is to lay a thin sheet of sandpaper on the deck where the superstructure goes, lay the superstructure on top of it, hold the sandpaper steady and gently move the superstructure forward 10mm and backward 10mm repeatedly. This should sand it to the correct profile. Keep checking that the structure stays level all the time.

Looking good skyfire. Think you will have your work cut out when trying to get a good finish for that high gloss paintwork on the hull..

The reason for a lack of progress, is because I have been pushing ahead on Bismarcks 2nd layer hull planking. More will be done on the Bluenose soon.
