I hav'nt got a compressor yet paul, having only done comparitivley small 1/35 scale tanks with it, I have only used the small cans to date, but will probably get a compressor for my bissie.
So I've no idea what would be the best one!!
Anybody else got the best compessor to use?

Looks good Eric, let us know how it goes.
Has anyone heard of a range of airbrushes by spraymaster? If you have what are they like?

Looks like a bit of a bargain. The compressor is worth the price alone.

I just tried out my new compressor, and it is brilliant!
Simple to set up and use, constant air pressure....perfect.
I sprayed the underwater hull of my Prince of Wales battleship, took seconds, no runs.

What paint are you using. Eric?

Tamiya acrylic paint, thinned down with about 20% thinners.
My Prince of Wales will not be R/C, so acrylics are fine.

Hello Eric. I have been looking at your compressor AS18(2). What adapter did you require? Never having had a spray set up was wondering what you require. What about the air hose BD-24. Does this fit your badger? Have you also a filter in line? Sorry about all the questions.

Hi matt, happy to help!
I bought an adaptor with the compressor, it fitted straight onto the badger air hose with no more alterations. (they knew what size of adaptor for the badger kit)
The compressor has an in line filter built in with it.
I will do some more experimenting with it before it goes anywhere near my Bismarck, but I must say it seems to be perfect for the job.
basically, you screw on the air hose and brush, fill the bottle with paint, switch on the compressor and your away!

Thanks for the information Eric. Is your badger a top or bottom cup? Does it make any difference which one you get? I have been looking around makes your head spin. Cornwall models have some package systems in by mantua. I also looked at your compressor AS18(2). I was also looking at the AB-AS18 Is this one the same? shuts of automatically when pressure starts to fall restarts etc. Prices vary. I am tempted. My wife says you can even use them on cakes HA! Thanks for any info Eric.

Hi Matt, my Badger is a bottom cup model 200-3.........and I have no idea what the difference is!!!
I reckon that pretty much ANY of these gun/compressor combos would be fine....mine would be no better and maybe worse than others. I just don't know enough about them myself!
