haha, well i had a lot of time to build it during my summer holidays, i suppose i'm one of the youngest members on here. I may be all up to scratch but when its all finished I expect all of yours to be of a better quality then mine since you're all more experienced

Well, I just spent a large chunk of my afternoon undoing some of the work on my hull.
When I placed the decking on the deck (if you follow!) it was immediatly obvious that my deck was too narrow. I had originally simply raised the hull lines straight up and sanded in the decking so it then dropped inside the raised hull.
So now I have cut down one line of planks in the armour recess and will now build up a new layer outside of it upto deck level again. This will widen the hull by about 1.5mm each side.
I have already widened the deck by gluing on 1.5mm strips on each side of it.
I have ordered some 1mmx10mm planks to use on the hull, I should get them in a few days. The modification should be finished not long after.
Slightly annoying, of course I could have just sanded down the decking, but then I would have lost the edge detailing, so I figured this was the better option.
I'll post some pics later.

A geneal question to all have notice a differnce between the static and remote control model propeller shaft tunnels (1091) and brackets (1093). Which version is correct to scale. As I did not purchase the Radio option as I alredy had a radio set does one use the templates supplyed for the static version to set up the radioo version.

I used the plastic shaft tunnels for my remote control conversion.
I drilled out the solid plasic mouldings so the shafts fitted through them.
Check out my build diary. I think it's on page two now....I hav'nt updated my diary for some time!!
