done iss 15 still not happy about part 10 still looks too small. simply glue 1 layer of planking strips onto the bottom of the hull before you glue this part in place. then it fits perfectly...

@ Chris
if you use the planks from Amaiti, then the 2nd planking will go over part D. But you have to sand the hull and then you have 2nd planking and part D even. It seems to me, that Marki53 did not use the planks from Amati for the 1st planking! If he will add the 2nd planking he will have to sand a lot to get it right (part D).

sorry i meant the planking done between 17-21 guess you meant this part i did the following modifications: 1. gluing both deck parts together 2. removal of those wooden blocks (iss 18+19) for the fixing screws 3. gluing 2 pieces of wood at the stern end to hold the deck in place without magnets, screws or whatever... afterwards the screw holes will be closed and the deck will be held by magnets on both sides in the middle and at the bow end

Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but after looking at the deck photo above, I thought I would ask here.
How is the hull going to be attached to the deck? I know about the screws through the deck into the 4 blocks, but that don't look water tight to me.
On other boats that I have built the deck has been glued to the hull, with a hole cut out in the deck and a small 'wall' built around the hole for the superstructure to sit around. The small 'wall' stops water getting in and stops the superstructure from moving. Yes, I know that we will need access to the rudders (a small lift out deck section would do for this), but the removable section is nearly the full length of the ship, how is this going to be sealed. A small amount of water inside can kill the electrics.
This is static model poorly converted to a RC model. Otherwise no complaints with the build so far.

sorry forgot to add so u don't add those 4 blocks? remove the divder between the 2 deck bits and join them together? what magnets? yes, i removed the blocks and glued both parts together i left the blocks at the bow end because they hold the deck in horizontal position. afterwards i will glue metal plates on the deck and magnets in the hull to keep the deck in place so it doesn't fall off when the sea gets heavy ;D markus
