The things is now (issue 114 prime example) you now have to ferret around for parts from over 50 issues ago to now stick on the boat.

And if you go to www.die-bismarck-bauen.de/modell.htm you can see what the procedure is for the camo. too bad they use a different model for the hull painting, and they only show how to do the aft superstructure... Lucky my german is okay, otherwise I wouldn't have found it in the magazine ;D

Do we know yet if they'll be providing any plans for the swastika? They seem to have the grey painted across the bow and stern as in Operation Rheinubung. I understand the sensitivity in Germany about such things, but just wondering if overseas versions get any help with its placement.

The location is exactly the same, but the grey square has to be red, with a white circle in the centre... the swastika is pretty straightforward. easier than on airplanes anyway, since on planes they are rotated 45 degrees....
I want to put on the swastikas too, but I already know that some people who can't see the difference between a modeller and a neo-nazi are going to complain.... there seem to be a lot of those people lately....

I get so annoyed by people who can't tell the difference between historical accuracy and glorification of an immoral political party (for what of a better phrase). Political correctness gone mad I feel sorry for the Buddhists who are no longer allowed to display their symbol of unity, which is the true meaning of the swastika. Anyway, probably best to put the soap box back in it's cupboard for now, or at least move it to the Officer's Mess...........

Is it me, or has there been a distinct lack of green pages with modeller's tips......... Mind, with 12 pages of instructions there won't be much room left for anything else
