What a great piece of model engineering. WELL DONE. Hope mine turns out as good as yours. Did you solder from the inside of the bits you could? Do they produce matt finish paint in the required colours? Just heard of the earthquake in Christchurch, hope you are OK and the family is well. All the best from Adelaide South Australia.

Had a break from the building and now after 6 months I am doing the wireless cables / antennae ect. Very fiddly work. I hope to have it all done within a month.

Just over a year since I last did some work on my ship. Its been in dry dock as I have not had any time to attack the last few jobs. Today, started to make a case for it as over the year the cat has been eyeing this up with the intent to sink it. So I have constructed a lovely wooden frame and then I will fill the frame in with glass. Plastic sheeting is just as expensive as glass, but plastic will mark and sag if a certain animal sits on it. This christmas is reserved for the final push to finish my build. Not sure what I will do next - wife wants the house painted.

FINISHED
I have built a glass cabinet for my build and for the edges I have got a nice native timber finish.
Now to see what the next build will be.
