Thinking WAY ahead of myself here - How are we joining the etched parts together should it be required?
I am considering soldering the parts for a neat finish - any ideas?

soldering them ? you're crazy, man i glued them with superglue. this is REALLY fiddy work think i would have burnt my fingers several times if i had soldered them gluing them with thin superglue works great - the glue floats into all those small joints. excess glue can easily be removed with a small file afterwards. anyone here who thinks planking was difficult ? just wait for gluing the etched catapult parts together...THIS IS DIFFICULT (at least for me) this catapult consists of 9 parts glued together: the measure is in centimetres, not inches...unfortunately

Look superb to me Markus!! Did you use thin glue, to allow capilliary action to run the length of the join?

Hi Markus,
Thanks for the imput. The thing that worries me about gluing the bass is the degradation of chemical compounds in the adhesive, thus rendering the glue ineffective especially, in the R/C model because it will be exposed to wet/damp/humid conditions. Although I appreciate what you are saying I still think it may be wothwhile soldering them. I shall contemplate this further....

Hi Markus, The thing that worries me about gluing the bass is the degradation of chemical compounds in the adhesive.... really? didn't know about that anyway, my parts are strongly bonded together. i hope that primer and paint will keep any moisture away from the glued joints markus
