Well where as I acknowledge your comments, I do have to beg to differ. There is a lot of chatter on the threads about subjects not related to the build of the Bismarck, but there is quite of lot of discussion on the 'build logs' and pictures of said builds. I have in fact added to this build subjects.
And I dont think it has become quiet there are still quite a lot of postings going on. I am the first to admit my build has slowed down some what but this is due to contributing factors at home.
And I cant' answer your question - purely because I m not up to that issue in question - but I have noted your comments on my notebook that I have on my work bench so I may try to answer any ones questions and to keep note of any errors that people have advised on the boards- such as your observation of a gap in 274/A

It has been a bit quiet recently, but I wouldn't say its like a graveyard by any means. All forums have busy and quiet times. It will get busier again without a doubt.
I too can't answer your question as I'm not up to issue 50 yet.

I think Chris, with all due respects, that you are far ahead of most of us, except possibly the German crew. I am very busy at the moment laying down the decks, have already clocked in over 100 hours doing so, and I know that a lot of others are busy with the second planking. Regarding the brass bits, I am just storing them away, as it seems from the Germans that we have at least 6 months worth to come, and I cannot fix any in place until they have been painted, as my decks must be protected from spray paint and thus brass painting will be done off model prior to gluing in. Generql chit chat is still going on, build queries have mostly been answered as far as we are able, so just be patient!!!!

I'm working on the brass bits, only putting the pieces together though. Not sticking them on to the superstructure yet, I want to see what the decking pieces look and fit like first. And yes I think I will go with the easy option on the decks.
I doesn't look like we get a lot of valve for money with the issues lately, just one strip of brass. But the brass etched parts are more expensive than the wood planking, I've bought etched brass for other builds and it ain't cheep. Plus, don't forget that we still get a magazine to read every week.

Oh ands don't forget to have the acetone, (or nail varnish remover) handy. It dissolves super glue. You know just incase you glue your fingers together. - rofl

I think I will try this www.evo-stik.co.uk/corpweb/p2.nsf for glueing the brass parts to the wooden superstructure. It's been excellent for sticking the wood and plastic parts together. I don't fancy using superglue for the brass/wood, I think all the super glue would soak into the wooden superstructure. I could be wrong though. Sorry that link only go's to the main page, search for 'impact' on that page. It's a red tube, it says instant contact adhesive and low odour, you do get time to move the parts around and it stinks like my socks.
